Foundation Routine for Oily Skin
Hello Fashionistas! I have been using my MUFE HD foundation for a few weeks now, and have been enjoying the results. Lets talk about my foundation routine, I have oily skin so the most important thing to me is to control the oil, and to even out my skin tone. Lets get started.
I only wear a primer if I know I'm going to have a very long day. Most of the time I don't. But when I do, I wear the ELF Mineral Infused Face Primer. I would just use my fingers to apply. I did not apply it for the photo above. I did however apply my MUFE HD foundation. I use about 1 1/2 to 2 pumps on the back of my hand, and I warm it up using my finger. I then dot it all over my face and use my fingers to start blending it out. Once I have the foundation all over my face I use the ELF Powder Brush (it is a dense flat top kabuki) to finish blending it out. My next step is to conceal any blemishes for this I use the Maybelline Dream Mousse Concealer. I use my finger and then go back over it with my ELF brush. I also conceal under my eyes using the same concealer and smooth it with the ELF brush. I then use Benefit Powderflauge (I think they may have discontinued it :( I cannot find it anywhere ) with a MAC 275 brush (fluffy angled brush). Using a fluffy powder brush from Essence of Beauty I apply the Maybelline Dream Matte Powder. I then contour with ELF Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder (Only the bronzing powder side) with a MAC 168 (angled brush). I concentrate under my cheek bones, temples, down the sides of my nose and jaw line. I then apply my blush, now I do not wear the same blush everyday but the one I wore in the photo is one of my favorites! It is Loreal True Match in the color Tender Rose. I used a blush brush from Clinique, and I do not recommend this brush. It is not soft and I just don't like it, but my other blush brush kicked the bucket and that is the only other one I have at the moment, until my Sigma order comes. I just apply the blush to the apples of my cheeks and blend it towards my hairline. My last step is to highlight. I don't always wear the same highlighter, but in the photo I wore the Victoria Secret Luminous Touch Highlighter in Nude Shimmer (I think this product was discontinued as well). I just use my finger tips to apply a little on my cheek bones.
Well that is my foundation routine, I hope it may give you some ideas for your own routine. Let me know in the comments some of your favorite products :)
